Celebrating National Vodka Day and National Golf Lovers Day
Tales From a Former Beverage Cart Girl
Take it from a former beverage cart girl, Helena knows the link between golfing and vodka. The golf course isn’t just a playground—it’s a boardroom where deals are made. According to The Front Office Sports, in 2022 alone, the U.S. golf industry generated over $101 Billion in economic impact! Golfing as a whole has lately had a resurgence and increasingly so as younger demographics are starting to take an interest in the sport.
Why are we doing a mashup of National Vodka Day and National Golf Lovers Day you ask? Because in Helena’s experience, the tradition of solidifying business deals on the golf course refuses to fade, even in the digital age. The fusion of business and leisure, sealed with a handshake on the eighteenth hole, continues to be a testament to the enduring power of face-to-face interactions. And this remarkable connection isn’t just a whimsical notion – it’s rooted in economic reality.
In an era where digital screens often mediate our transactions, the golf course stands as a resolute reminder that the best deals are still made the old-school way – in person, amidst the lush expanse of a golf course. Today, as we celebrate both national days, we raise a glass to Helena and countless others like her, who, armed with a beverage cart and a warm smile, became catalysts for collaborations that shaped industries and changed lives.

Robin’s Secret Ingredient Bloody Mary (Helena’s Best Friend)
Being a former beverage cart girl, Robin knows a thing or two about making a good Bloody Mary. The secret is adding a little bit of horseradish into the mix, which makes it really stand apart from the rest. Now repeat it with me, a good Bloody Mary is always stirred and never shaken!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Small 5.5 Ounce Can of Clamato Juice
- 1 Shot of Vodka
- Couple Dashes of Rose’s Lime Juice
- Couple Dashes of Tapatio Hot Sauce
- Couple Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp of horseradish (Secret Ingredient)
- Garnishes like Olives, Celery, Bacon, Cocktail Shrimp, etc…
- Ice
DIRECTIONS
- In a tall glass, add Clamato, vodka, lime juice, Tapatio, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, and ice.
- Stir to combine. (Remember, a good Bloody Mary is always stirred and never ever shaken!)
- Pick any garnish you like! Although I don’t recommend adding everything (like the picture!) Or do, it’s your Bloody Mary.
- Enjoy on the course!
